One of the first people to warmly welcome me to high school, Brooke now works as a nurse. Within the past year, she is one of what seems to be a slew of my friends who became pregnant and was happily expecting within a couple months. Unfortunately, her baby stopped kicking and lost his heartbeat. So sad to lose someone before you even met him.
